Overview

February was a strong month for Lincoln Elementary PTA, driven by successful fundraising across three events. The pizza fundraiser, bake sale, and Valentine Grams collectively generated over $5,200 in revenue. Despite planned expenditures for teacher grants ($1,200) and the field day event ($1,235), we ended the month with a healthy net gain of $2,588 and a total balance of $24,812.50.

Highlights & Notable Items

  • Pizza Fundraiser generated $3,200 in a single event — our strongest single-event result this school year, thanks to strong parent participation and committee planning.
  • Valentine Grams earned $1,380 in net revenue, establishing a new tradition that combines community engagement with meaningful fundraising.
  • Teacher Grants of $1,200 were disbursed to 2nd Grade Science and Kindergarten Reading programs, supporting hands-on learning materials for over 120 students.
  • Spring Festival planning is underway with initial deposits placed for decorations and supplies — projected to be our largest community event of the year.

Presenter Notes — Board Meeting

1

I'm pleased to report that February was one of our strongest fundraising months this year. The pizza fundraiser brought in $3,200, and our new Valentine Grams initiative added another $1,380. Combined with the bake sale and ongoing spirit wear sales, we generated $8,450 in total income.

2

On the spending side, we made meaningful investments in our school community. We disbursed $1,200 in teacher grants to support 2nd Grade Science and Kindergarten Reading programs. These grants directly benefit our students and are a core part of our mission.

3

Our ending balance of $24,812.50 puts us in a strong position heading into spring. We have adequate reserves for the Spring Festival and end-of-year activities while maintaining a healthy financial cushion.

4

Looking ahead to March, the Spring Festival is our top priority. We've started placing deposits and I'd encourage everyone to check the volunteer signup sheet. This event is both our largest community builder and a significant fundraising opportunity.
